Bacitracin D7

Bacitracin D7 is a derivative of the antibiotic drug Bacitracin. It is commonly used in medical and veterinary settings to treat bacterial infections. Bacitracin D7 works by inhibiting the growth and replication of bacteria, particularly Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus and Staphylococcus. Chemically, Bacitracin D7 is a cyclic peptide made up of 10 amino acids. It is a polypeptide antibiotic produced by the bacteria Bacillus licheniformis. Bacitracin D7 is similar in structure to Bacitracin, but has seven deuterium atoms in its molecular structure. Bacitracin D7 is administered topically, either as an ointment or as a powder. It is not intended for oral or systemic use. Bacitracin D7 is commonly used in combination with other antibiotics, such as neomycin and polymyxin B, in topical ointments and creams. Bacitracin D7 is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive bacteria, including strains that are resistant to other antibiotics. However, it is not effective against Gram-negative bacteria.
