Quinocide

Quinocide is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of antimalarial drugs. It is used for the treatment and prevention of malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax species. Quinocide works by inhibiting the growth and replication of the malaria parasites in the human body. It is commonly used in combination with other antimalarial drugs for a more effective treatment. The drug is metabolized in the liver by the cytochrome P450 enzyme system and excreted mainly in the urine.
